Hace unos días Mike Flewitt, CEO de la firma británica McLaren concedió una entrevista, en la cual se pueden destacar muchos puntos, el primero de ellos fue que el destacó que McLaren es una marca que nació en base al deporte motor y que es una marca que conservará la base en los coches deportivos.
Otra cosa que mencionó que es que no se ven sacando un coche sin algún tipo de electrificación para 2022 o 2023, esto no porque la marca quiere, sino para cumplir con las normas ambientales al rededor del mundo, es por ello que ya se habla de su próximo híbrido, que se dice que llegará el próximo año con un motor V6 de base, con un sistema híbrido y una plataforma de fibra de carbono.
Además en los últimos meses sólo escuchamos cosas de las SUV, estas mencionadas están arrasando en todo el mundo, toda o casi toda persona quiere una SUV, son coches a los que las marcas se han rendido para llegar a más gente, sin embargo los británicos no, lo que ha confirmado Flewitt diciendo que debido a las raíces de McLaren y como ya se mencionó que no se quieren despegar de ellas, esta nunca sacará una SUV o crossover porque no tienen nada que ver con su historia.
Para cerrar cabe decir que el CEO de la misma aseguró que habrá un sucesor para el mítico P1, uno de los coches más históricos o el más de la marca, el cual tendrá un sucesor adaptado a ese año para 2025.
